Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received Microsoft Vice Chair and President Brad Smith on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly. The meeting, hosted by the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York on Monday, focused the progress of the strategic partnership between Kuwait and Microsoft and the preparations for opening Microsoft Digital Innovation Center in Kuwait - the biggest such center in the region, in the coming few weeks. Both sides also exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation in such areas as AI, digital transformation and data centers with a view to speeding up Kuwait's digitization drive and building the capacity of the national cadres. Also attending the meeting were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Ambassador Mansour Ayyad Al-Otaibi, Ambassador to the United States Sheikha Al-Zain Sabah Al-Naser Al-Sabah, Permanent Representative to the UN Tareq Mohammad Al-Banai and Chief of Staff of His Highness the Crown Prince's Office Maj.-Gen Ahmad Abdulrahman Al-Da'ei.
