His Excellency Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah

An Amiri Decree has been issued appointing Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as Head of His Highness the Crown Prince's Diwan - with the rank of Minister - for a four-year term as of September 1, 2025.


Upbringing and Education :

  • His Excellency was born in 1971.
  • His Excellency Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah holds a certificate in Military Science from the Royal Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.
  • His Excellency Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the United States.

Social Status :

  • Married, father of Three.

Positions :

  • His Excellency served as an officer at the Ministry of Defense's intelligence and military security field from 1991 to 1994.
  • His Excellency served at the Ministry of Interior's state security department from 1994 to 2000.
  • In 2000, a decree was issued appointing him as assistant undersecretary of His Highness the Crown Prince's Technical Bureau.
  • In 2003, Sheikh Thamer was named Deputy Chief of the Citizens' Service Bureau and Government Performance Follow-up Agency ,affiliated to the Cabinet.
  • In 2012, a decree was issued appointing him as Kuwait's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
  • In 2019, a decree was issued appointing him as Kuwait's Ambassador to Bahrain.

He served as Chief of several government committees, including:

  • The team tasked with preparing reports of the State Audit Bureau in 2003.
  • Secondment and Transfer Commission among government bodies in 2005.
  • His Highness was the head of the teams for developing leadership selection in government agencies 2005
  • Standing Commission to carry out the government action programs in 2006.
  • His Highness Sheikh Thamer was head of the investigation team into the citizenship case in 2008.
  • He Also followed up the implementation of the recommendations of the State Audit Bureau's report regarding financial spending related to His Highness the Prime Minister's Diwan in 2008.
