Kuwait Amir Representative receives World Bank Group senior officials on sidelines of UN High-Level Week
The Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received on Monday World Bank Group President Ajay Banga and the group's Executive Director Abdulaziz Al-Mulla at the headquarters of the Kuwait Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. During the meeting, the two sides followed up on the latest developments regarding developing and training the national cadres and means of benefiting expertise from the World Bank in providing technical support in a manner that serves the Kuwait Vision. They also discussed means of enhancing cooperation in consultation and development fields and shared views on international and regional development and scientific issues and efforts of funding sustainable development. Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Director-General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Organization Ambassador Sadiq Marafi, Kuwait's Ambassador to the United States Sheikha Al-Zain Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, Kuwait's Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Tareq Al-Banai and the head of His Highness the Crown Prince's office affairs Maj. Gen. Ahmad Al-Daie attended the meeting.
