Kuwait Amir Representative receives head of Google, Alphabet on sidelines of UN High-Level Week
The Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah met on Monday with the President and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Alphabet and Google Ruth Porat at the headquarters of the Kuwait Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. During the meeting, the two sides followed up on the latest developments of the framework agreement between Kuwait and Google Cloud and the implementation of the strategic projects related to digital transformation, Cloud computing infrastructure, data centers, the development of digital skills of Kuwaitis. They also discussed horizons of cooperation between Kuwait and the Alphabet in a manner that contributes to supporting Kuwait's vision. The meeting featured Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Director-General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Organization Ambassador Sadiq Marafi, Kuwait's Ambassador to the United States Sheikha Al-Zain Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah and Kuwait's Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Tareq Al-Banai.
