Under the patronage of His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the representative of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah inaugurated on Monday evening the new headquarters of the Kuwait Association of Accountants and Auditors in the Maidan Hawally area. Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah, who is the head of the Court of His Highness the Crown Prince, said in a speech to reporters on the sidelines of the opening that the association, which was established 50 years ago, specifically in 1973, is an essential pillar in the banking and financial sector. Sheikh Ahmed Al Abdullah stressed the keenness to provide all support to accountants and support them in their hard and continuous work to fight corruption. For his part, the Honorary President of the Association, Yousef Al-Othman, said that the new headquarters is prepared for a distinctive launch with a specific vision and a clear message with scientific and professional goals motivated by community motivation and the imposition of national belonging, and the engine for that is its deep soft power. For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, Rashid Al-Hatlani, said that today's celebration of the opening of the new headquarters is the culmination of the efforts of the officials of the Board of Directors of the Association over many years with the aim of developing the profession and enhancing its role in serving the community. He explained that since its establishment, the association has provided technical advice to many laws, especially the law on practicing the accounting profession, the laws of commercial companies, bankruptcy, combating money laundering and terrorist financing, as well as the law of partnership between the two sectors. Al-Hatlani said that the association is interested in forming national cadres to work in the accounting profession by providing specialized programs and courses consistent with the developments witnessed by the profession at the global level, considering that the new building is a qualitative leap in the development of the profession and its practitioners.
